SyncroMSP Two-Way Sync: Update Once, Stay in Sync Everywhere

Integration

New in IT Portal 4.6.41 · Q4 2026

Overview

If you run Syncro as your PSA and RMM, you have probably felt this one: a customer changes their phone number, a new contact joins, a laptop gets replaced - and someone has to update it twice. Once in IT Portal, once in Syncro. Until now our SyncroMSP integration only pulled data in. Anything your team fixed in IT Portal stayed in IT Portal.

That changes in IT Portal 4.6.41. SyncroMSP now supports two-way sync. Update a company, contact, or device in IT Portal and the change is written back to Syncro automatically, the same way our ConnectWise and Autotask integrations already work.

How it works

Two-way sync builds on the Syncro connection you already have. Your Syncro customers stay linked to their IT Portal companies, and the integration now works in both directions:

  • Companies - company name and notes changes in IT Portal are pushed to the matching Syncro customer.
  • Contacts - name, email, phone, and mobile updates go back to Syncro, and new contacts you add under a linked company are created in Syncro for you.
  • Devices - optionally, new devices you document under a linked company are created in Syncro as assets, using your existing device type mappings.

Only the fields that actually changed are sent, so your Syncro account is not flooded with needless updates.

You stay in control

Two-way sync is off until you turn it on, and you choose exactly what it covers:

  • One switch to enable or disable - turn it off and the integration goes straight back to import-only.
  • Pick your record types - sync companies and contacts, add devices when you are ready, or keep any type one-way.
  • Decide how empty fields behave - choose whether clearing a field in IT Portal also clears it in Syncro.
  • No surprise companies - IT Portal never mass-creates customers in Syncro. New contacts and devices are only added under companies that are already linked.

There are new one-way options too. You can decide whether imports from Syncro overwrite existing IT Portal information, and whether blank values coming from Syncro should be ignored or applied.

Why it matters

  • Enter it once. Your technicians update the documentation they already live in, and Syncro catches up on its own.
  • One source of truth. For linked records, IT Portal leads. No more guessing which system has the right phone number.
  • Less admin, fewer mistakes. Every duplicate edit you remove is one less chance for your PSA and your documentation to drift apart.
  • Familiar behavior. If you have used two-way sync with ConnectWise or Autotask in IT Portal, this works the way you expect.

Getting started

Open Admin Settings → Site Settings → Integrations → SyncroMSP. You will find two new tabs, One way sync options and Two way sync options. Choose the record types you want to keep in sync, then switch on Two-Way Sync. We recommend trying it with a test company first.
