New in IT Portal 4.6.41 · Q4 2026
Overview
If you look after dozens of customers on Microsoft 365, you know the routine: for every customer, sign in to their tenant, create an app registration, generate a secret, copy three values into your documentation platform, and then do it all again when the secret expires. Fifty customers means fifty setups and fifty secrets quietly counting down.
IT Portal 4.6.41 removes that work for Microsoft partners. Connect IT Portal once to your own partner tenant and it documents all of your customers' Microsoft 365 tenants from that single connection. This has been one of our most requested features, and it is finally here.
How it works
Microsoft already knows which customers you manage — that is what your GDAP (granular delegated admin) relationships in Partner Center record. IT Portal builds on that:
- Connect once. Register one application in your own partner tenant, paste four values into IT Portal, and sign in with your partner account. A built-in setup guide walks you through every click.
- See every customer. IT Portal reads your customer list straight from Microsoft. Each customer is matched to an existing company by its Microsoft domains, or a new company is created for it — you see which before anything is saved.
- Pick what to bring in. Users and contacts, domains, licenses, admin portal links and Intune devices — choose all of it or just what you need.
- Let it run. Every mapped customer is kept current on the nightly sync, one customer at a time, so a problem with one never holds up the rest.
Turn on automatic company creation and new customers you onboard in Partner Center appear in IT Portal on their own, synced the same night.
Why it matters
- Hours back on every onboarding. Nothing to set up inside each customer's tenant, and nothing for the customer to do.
- No secret sprawl. One connection to look after instead of a key per customer, each expiring on its own schedule.
- No silent gaps. IT Portal warns administrators before a GDAP relationship expires, and flags an expired partner sign-in at login, so a stopped sync never goes unnoticed for months.
- Safe matching. Customers are matched to companies on their domains, never on a look-alike name, so one customer's data cannot land in another's documentation.
- Password rotation at scale. Portal Rotate works for partner customers too, set up once for the whole partner connection, with an exclusion list and a rotation interval.
Your existing setups keep working
Already syncing some customers the old way, one tenancy at a time? Nothing changes for them. Both methods run side by side, so you can move at your own pace — or not at all.
Getting started
You will need an active Microsoft Partner Center account (direct-bill partners and indirect resellers both work) and GDAP relationships with the customers you want to sync. Then, in IT Portal, open Admin Settings → Site Settings → Integrations → Microsoft Partners and follow the setup guide.
The full step-by-step walkthrough, including the exact Microsoft permissions and troubleshooting tips, is in our knowledge base: Microsoft Partners: Sync Every Customer Microsoft 365 Tenant from One Setup.
