Overview
This release covers versions 4.6.3 through 4.6.15, introducing AI-powered tools, new administrator controls, password management enhancements, and important bug fixes. This update continues our backend modernization journey and delivers on the .NET Core migration milestones outlined in our 4.6.1 release.
Major Feature: Built-in AI Tools Powered by Claude
IT Portal now includes optional AI features powered by Claude, giving your team two powerful new capabilities:
AI Content Editor - Click the Claude AI icon next to any Notes field to open a split-screen editor. Choose from report types like Format & Structure Notes, Summarize, or Convert to Runbook. Review the AI-generated result side-by-side with your original content, then Accept & Save or discard with one click.
AI Analysis Reports - Open any object (Company, Document, Device, etc.) and navigate to the AI Analysis tab. Generate reports, download as PDF, and view full prompt and generation history. Reports include your company logo from IT Portal branding settings.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) - Organizations can use their own API key for full control over usage and billing. AI features are entirely optional and can be enabled or disabled by administrators at any time.
Password & Access Enhancements
Password Favorites in Chrome Plugin - Mark passwords as favorites and quickly access them from the Chrome Plugin password lookup. Your most-used credentials are always a click away.
Custom Access Request Email Address - Administrators can configure a specific email address for access request notifications directly within the portal UI, giving more control over where these alerts are routed.
- Fixed an issue where passwords were inaccessible when "Require 2FA to access passwords" was enabled
- Continued Chrome Plugin enhancements for smoother credential lookups
Administration & Portal Controls
Read-Only & Maintenance Modes - New portal controls allow administrators to place the portal into a temporary read-only mode or full maintenance mode, useful during planned maintenance windows.
Favicon / Custom Icons - The ability to set custom favicon icons in the portal has been restored.
Integration Sync Logs - A button to view logs from previous nightly integration syncs has been added to the Integrations page.
- Fixed an error that occurred when retrieving SMTP notification rules
- Fixed nightly sync failures for the CA Cloud Sync / AutoTask integration
Interface & Usability Improvements
- Angular Material upgraded to version 15.2.9, improving overall UI stability and performance
- Expiration counts on dashboard widgets now match the data shown in the corresponding datagrids
- Renamed objects now correctly update across the left-hand menu, Admin settings, and Quick Access menu
- Fixed an issue where no objects appeared when clicking the history widget
- Corrected an issue where the top menu bar displayed at an incorrect height
- Fixed a dropdown filtering issue where breadcrumb navigation showed objects from all clients instead of the current scope
Backend Modernization Update
Significant backend work has been completed migrating core functionality from our legacy Classic ASP backend to our modern .NET Core API, including datagrids, object management, security endpoints, and DNS management. These changes improve performance, security, and set the foundation for future enhancements.
Looking Ahead: Version 4.6.27 (Q3 2026)
We are on track to have the complete backend fully migrated to .NET Core by the end of the year, delivering faster response times, improved security, and a more robust platform across the board.
