Access Logs Get a Dedicated Company Column

Update

Coming in IT Portal 4.6.27 · Q3 2026

A small change that makes audit logs a lot easier to work with

If you've ever exported your access logs to dig into who did what for a particular client, you know the friction: the company name used to be tucked onto the end of the Title — something like "Server-01 (Acme Corp)" — so filtering by company in Excel meant splitting text and cleaning up cells before you could even start.

That's fixed. The User Access and Admin Access logs under Admin Settings → Security → Logs now show Company as its own column, both on screen and in the CSV export.

Cleaner titles, instantly filterable companies

With the change:

  • Title shows just the object name — no more company suffix to read around.
  • Company is a clean, standalone column you can sort, filter, and pivot on right away.

So pulling "everything an admin did for Acme Corp last month" goes from a cleanup chore to a single filter.

Your existing history comes along

You don't lose anything on older entries. During the upgrade, IT Portal tidies up your historical logs automatically — the old company suffixes are removed from Title, and Company is filled in and displayed correctly from then on. Nothing to re-run, nothing to fix by hand.

Entries that don't belong to a specific company — like system-level actions — simply show a blank Company, exactly as you'd expect. And your Password Access, Password Changes, and Password Sharing logs are untouched, since they already had their own Company column.

Availability

The dedicated Company column ships with IT Portal 4.6.27, scheduled for Q3 2026.
