Overview
The IT Portal has been updated to address a bug affecting knowledge base (KB) expiration notifications. A cloud update will roll out next week, with an on-premises release scheduled for Friday.
The Issue
Email notifications for expiring knowledge bases were not being sent despite expiration warnings appearing in the user interface. Users may experience a surge of notification emails following this fix.
Before the update deploys, users can review pending expiration alerts in the top right corner of the IT Portal dashboard.
Recommendation
We suggest updating the system if your organization uses the SMTP/notification settings. This proactive approach allows organizations to prepare for the influx of emails that will be generated once the bug fix is applied.
